.NET Developer
TIES is currently recruiting for a talented web application developer to join our team. The candidate must have 2-4 years of direct experience in web application development and database development utilizing object- and service-oriented constructs.

Responsibilities:

  • Working on a national, high-volume, e-commerce web application
  • Overseeing enhancements to established web applications
  • Performance tuning and optimizing web applications to ensure maximum availability, performance, and effectiveness
  • Creating analysis and design documents
  • Documenting and executing software test plans (unit and integration testing)
  • Supporting quality assurance testing and production installations
  • Managing a list of enhancement projects and ensuring leadership is fully apprised of status
  • Providing accurate and timely estimates
  • Leading small to medium sized enhancement projects and software releases
  • Providing 3rd-level help desk support and debugging and resolving application issues

Experience

  • Degree in Computer Science or related; master's degree is preferred
  • Minimum 2 years' programming with .NET framework including  ASP.NET, C#, MVC, ASP.NET AJAX, jQuery, JavaScript, web services (SOAP, REST), and XML
  • Practical experience with Microsoft development tools (Visual Studio 2010, Team Foundation Server) required 
  • Practical experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 required
  • Practical experience with Microsoft WCF strongly preferred 
  • Practical experience with unit testing software tools/techniques preferred
  • Practical experience with test-driven development preferred
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies preferred
  • Minimum 1 year experience writing conceptual and detailed design documents, including UML diagrams preferred
