 | .NET Developer TIES is currently recruiting for a talented web application developer to join our team. The candidate must have 2-4 years of direct experience in web application development and database development utilizing object- and service-oriented constructs.
Responsibilities:
- Working on a national, high-volume, e-commerce web application
- Overseeing enhancements to established web applications
- Performance tuning and optimizing web applications to ensure maximum availability, performance, and effectiveness
- Creating analysis and design documents
- Documenting and executing software test plans (unit and integration testing)
- Supporting quality assurance testing and production installations
- Managing a list of enhancement projects and ensuring leadership is fully apprised of status
- Providing accurate and timely estimates
- Leading small to medium sized enhancement projects and software releases
- Providing 3rd-level help desk support and debugging and resolving application issues
Experience
- Degree in Computer Science or related; master's degree is preferred
- Minimum 2 years' programming with .NET framework including ASP.NET, C#, MVC, ASP.NET AJAX, jQuery, JavaScript, web services (SOAP, REST), and XML
- Practical experience with Microsoft development tools (Visual Studio 2010, Team Foundation Server) required
- Practical experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 required
- Practical experience with Microsoft WCF strongly preferred
- Practical experience with unit testing software tools/techniques preferred
- Practical experience with test-driven development preferred
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience writing conceptual and detailed design documents, including UML diagrams preferred
