TIES Professional Development Catalog

Welcome back to school! The TIES workshop catalog for October 2015 - January 2016 is now available. There are a wide variety of classes to help you use technology to create student excitement for learning, including Creativity through MakerSpace, Swimming in SAMR, Programming in the Elementary Classroom, and much more! We also have several webinars and online classes, including Introduction to Gaming and Gamification, Teaching Beyond Borders, and Designing a Blended Learning Course. We have filled the workshop catalog with options for Saturday attendance if getting out of school or finding a sub are barriers for you. If your district is working on a special project, such as a 1:1 rollout, remember that TIES offers personalized coaching and customized training based on your needs.

Find the workshop that interests you and fits your schedule at http://goo.gl/IyjuQT. Don’t forget that TIES members receive unlimited attendance at TIES workshops and allocations to bring TIES instructors out to your school.

L&T Team Spotlight

Welcome Kate!

The TIES Learning and Technology team would like to introduce you to Kate Indrelie, our newest team member. Kate comes to us with 10 years of experience teaching English language arts, most recently at Great River School in St. Paul. In addition to teaching, she has coached Lego Robotics, a Technovation team, and an Ultimate Frisbee team that was the 2015 Minnesota state champion. While in the classroom, Kate enjoyed using technology to foster small group and independent learning so she could be more hands on with kids. She enjoys traveling, camping, graphic design, and hanging out with her dog Ruggles.
