.NET Developer+

TIES is seeking a talented web application developer to join our team working on a national, high-volume e-commerce web application. This position reports to the director of E-Commerce and Community Engagement.

Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing enhancements to established web applications 
  • Performance tuning and optimizing web applications to ensure maximum availability, performance and effectiveness 
  • Creating analysis and design documents 
  • Documenting and executing software test plans (unit and integration testing) 
  • Supporting quality assurance testing and production installations 
  • Managing a list of enhancement projects and ensuring leadership is fully apprised of status 
  • Providing accurate and timely estimates 
  • Leading small to medium-sized enhancement projects and software releases 
  • Providing third-level help desk support and debugging and resolving application issues
Qualifications:

Degree in Computer Science or related; master's degree preferred

Experience:
  • Minimum one year of experience writing conceptual and detailed design documents, including UML diagrams preferred
  • Minimum two years' programming with .NET framework including  ASP.NET, C#, MVC, ASP.NET AJAX, jQuery, JavaScript, web services (SOAP, REST), and XML 
  • Practical experience with Microsoft development tools (Visual Studio 2010, Team Foundation Server) required  
  • Practical experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 required 
  • Practical experience with Microsoft WCF strongly preferred  
  • Practical experience with unit testing software tools/techniques preferred 
  • Practical experience with test-driven development preferred

Administrative Coordinator+

TIES is seeking an Administrative Coordinator to provide analytical and strategic support for the Learning and Technology department.  This person should possess excellent communication and presentation skills, have extensive knowledge of the use of computer technology in support of education and administration including spreadsheets, databases and TIES financial software.  The Administrative Coordinator works both individually and in a team environment and should present a professional customer service oriented image.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement procedures to improve operational efficiency of department administrative and registration processes.
  • Establish and maintain documentation on process improvements.
  • Establish, coordinate and maintain effective communications with staff, advisory committees, annual conference attendees, workshop participants and other customers.
  • Use the TIES Finance system for department purchasing and invoicing and coordinate processes with TIES accounting staff.
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of TIES services and member districts.
  • Coordinate meeting arrangements and logistics support.
  • Organize and maintain accurate records and customer lists for the department.
  • Assist with the distribution of materials for TIES workshops, seminars and conferences.
  • Complete identified performance objectives and all projects as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration and/or management
Experience:
  • At least 5 years’ work experience in an administrative support role and/or projects-related role

Custodial Maintenance+

TIES is seeking a custodian to provide cleaning, housekeeping, grounds keeping and general maintenance services in all areas.  This position reports to the Chief Building Engineer.

  • 1 or more years of hands on experience with AWS cloud offerings (preferred), such as EC2, Route 53, VPC, CloudFront, S3, RDS, IAM, OpsWorks, Data Pipeline, SES, SNS, SQS, SWF
  • Participation in all phases of the software development life cycle
  • Experience delivering software products following one or more development methodologies (agile preferred)
  • Ability to effectively communicate through multiple channels (verbal, documentation, email, instant messenger)
  • Capable of working independently assigned tasks with minimal oversight
  • Strong understanding of object-orient programing and design practices
