.NET Developer+

TIES is seeking a talented web application developer to join our team working on a national, high-volume e-commerce web application. This position reports to the director of E-Commerce and Community Engagement.

Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing enhancements to established web applications 
  • Performance tuning and optimizing web applications to ensure maximum availability, performance and effectiveness 
  • Creating analysis and design documents 
  • Documenting and executing software test plans (unit and integration testing) 
  • Supporting quality assurance testing and production installations 
  • Managing a list of enhancement projects and ensuring leadership is fully apprised of status 
  • Providing accurate and timely estimates 
  • Leading small to medium-sized enhancement projects and software releases 
  • Providing third-level help desk support and debugging and resolving application issues
Qualifications:

Degree in Computer Science or related; master's degree preferred

Experience:
  • Minimum one year of experience writing conceptual and detailed design documents, including UML diagrams preferred
  • Minimum two years' programming with .NET framework including  ASP.NET, C#, MVC, ASP.NET AJAX, jQuery, JavaScript, web services (SOAP, REST), and XML 
  • Practical experience with Microsoft development tools (Visual Studio 2010, Team Foundation Server) required  
  • Practical experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 required 
  • Practical experience with Microsoft WCF strongly preferred  
  • Practical experience with unit testing software tools/techniques preferred

Accounting Clerk - Administration / Transportation+

The position of Accounting Clerk requires a great deal of communication with the Department Directors and other staff.  The Clerk will serve as the primary contact person for customers and vendors in resolving problems and concerns about wide area transportation services.

Responsibilities:

The Clerk will be responsible for keeping the financial records accurate and informational and must at all times, be alert to changes in policy, financial requirements of customers, and individuals and must be willing to change processes quickly and efficiently.  The Clerk processes financial transactions, maintains records for invoices, annual billings, payments made, and will have a general knowledge of all aspects of accounting requirements in the TIES financial system.  The Clerk will also answer transportation phone calls and handle routing questions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Process all accounts receivable financial transactions of TIES in such a manner as to insure the accuracy of TIES financial records and create direct trails for auditing purposes.
  • Prepare invoices as requested by individual TIES Departments
  • Process all checks received into proper category (cash receipting)
  • Assumes all collection responsibilities
  • Answer transportation phone calls from customers and vendors.  Resolves problems and concerns about wide area transportation services.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:

EDUCATION
AA degree in accounting (Associates degree in accounting/bookkeeping preferred).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Responsibilities:
  • Consulting with TIES customers and staff on planning, implementation and use of TIES HRPay application systems and technology
  • Training
  • Consultation work at customer sites with various levels of application users
  • Writing appropriate communication including training documentation, status reports and other general documentation
  • Facilitating ongoing application user special interest and customer focus groups

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and experience with software support are required. Knowledge of human resource best practices and school district payroll, and an understanding of rules and reporting requirements for school districts are desired. Experience using Cognos reporting and Data Warehouse is a plus.
