Nine staff members from Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District 191 will be presenting their work, experience and knowledge at the TIES 2014 Education Technology Conference.
The winners of the TIES 2014 Minnesota Technology Leader and Technology Leadership Team contests were honored by TIES at the TIES 2014 Education Technology Conference on December 8. To learn more about them, click on their names and see the media listed below.
The TIES Minnesota Technology Leader Award recognizes a true technology champion who has demonstrated outstanding achievement in implementing technology to improve E-12 education. For 2014, TIES is proud to honor Chad Maxa Executive Director of Technology and Innovation in Intermediate District 287, as the 2014 TIES Minnesota Technology Leader.
“Chad Maxa provides vital leadership to help his district deepen technology integration,” said Mark Wolak, TIES executive director – echoing the sentiments of Intermediate Superintendent Sandra Lewandowski. “He provides his district with the connectivity and infrastructure to fulfill their mission. He doesn’t just enable them to innovate -- he’s central to it.”
The TIES Minnesota Technology Leadership Team Award recognizes a school district team that has had a significant impact on technology’s role in transforming learning. A team consists of key leaders such as the superintendent, technology and curriculum directors, teachers, parents, students, school board. For 2014, TIES is proud to present this honor to the Sauk Rapids-Rice Technology Team.
