(St. Paul, MN—July 17, 2014) TIES, an education technology collaborative, today announced that its executive committee has re-elected Dan Luth as chairperson. This is Luth’s second term as chairperson of TIES Executive Committee. A 14-year member of the Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School Board, Luth’s private-sector job is Director, IT Portfolio Management and Delivery, UnitedHealth Group Optum Collaborative Care.


TIES today announced that it has been awarded a $448,000 grant by the Minnesota Department of Education to help school districts upgrade their early childhood data collection systems. Thirty-eight school districts representing over half of the state’s student population partnered with TIES and Arux Software on this initiative.


TIES today announced that it has teamed up with the Center for Game Science at the University of Washington to sponsor the Minnesota Algebra Challenge.

TIES today announced that a patent is pending for an electronic payment solution for educational institutions that is owned by The Minnesota Partnership (TMP), a company comprised of community education software developer Arux,  merchant account provider Bankcard Services Worldwide and TIES.
